Dramatised account of Thigpen and Cleckley’s case study of multiple personality disorder. Eve White is a quiet, unassuming wife and mother suffering from headaches and occasional black outs. Eventually she sees a psychiatrist, Dr Luther, and, while under hypnosis, a new personality emerges: the wild and fun-loving Eve Black. Continued therapy reveals yet a third personality, the relatively stable Jane. The film chronicles Dr. Luther's attempts to reconcile the three distinct personalities.
